Great game, but crashes under iOS 8

I love this game, but since upgrading to iOS 8, the game crashes after playing a few turns in campaign mode. Closing and reopening the app doesnt help -- it crashes again on startup. Reinstalling the app doesnt help, either.

Anyone else experiencing this? Any insight into updating the game to fix this bug?
